  1. WOW, you guys had a great turnout for WB!! Congrats!!
  2. It doesn't matter whether its Little League or the Major Leagues, A HOME RUN IS STILL A HOME RUN!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!
  3. Need some help. Shooting a Colt 1911 traditional with 230 gr bullet and running about 850 fps. Gun is cleaned and oiled. Now, shoots great but is slow to cycle closed. Is it me or what? I've shot the gun for over a year and it just started doing it. Thanks in advance.
  4. I am looking for a Campaign Hat but need a 7 7/8 size. I know, big head, nothing in it. Plus looking for other WB WWI clothing. Got ideas? Thanks in advance ILLINOIS STATE WILD BUNCH MATCH APRIL 29/30
  5. The Kaskaskia Cowboys, Sparta, Il. will be hosting the 2017 Illinois State Wild Bunch Championship on April 29/30 at the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, Illinois. We are appealing to your club to host your state Wild Bunch Championship at the same date and facility as ours. This is how it would work. Our entry fee is $65.00. The State of Illinois currently charges $8.00 per shooter for the facility and the Saturday night meal is approximately $15.00 Thus, we would deduct $23.00 per entry, leaving your club/state with a net total of $42.00. YOU WILL KEEP THIS AMOUNT for every entry from your state. However, YOU must order and present your own trophies for your state. This should be your only expense. We will take care of entries and organize the shooter list. We will also write all the stages and print a shooter book. We will also do all the scoring and present you with a list of the winners from your state. Your obligation, other than the trophies, is to request your state's acceptance with SASSS as the 2017 State championship host club. I know it would be a hassle for your shooters to travel to Sparta, Il. but it really is a great facility with a lot of camping and hotels in the area. Hopefully this attempt will strengthen our Wild Bunch Action shooting sport. Please give me a call or e-mail if you have any questions or suggestions. 6. GREAT!!! I wish SASS would promote WB more. (or someone)
  7. J. Frank, how many shooters did you have? We had 22 at Illinois State Match. We just can't seem to generate interest around here. thanks
  8. I run my brass bag through the trigger guard to help remember. Sometimes I still forget.
  9. The Tri State Illinois, Indiana, & Kentucky Wild Bunch match for May 28/29 has "0" that's ZERO, Kentucky or Indiana entries. Here's your chance to take home your state championship trophy.
  10. Thanks for the info Joe. Tom, pm sent. thanks to all
  11. My stainless steel Colt Mil Spec has black back and black "pinned" front sites. At the recent Winter Range Wild Bunch Championship, (the Main Match) I really had trouble seeing my black front site in the early morning sun on the black painted targets. Now, according to the rules, for Traditional, you may only use black, blued or stainless for your sites. With a pinned front site, does anyone have any suggestions on changing my front site, probably to stainless? I know the rules don't specify but why couldn't brass be used? Then you could have one of the BFS sites put on. Thanks in advance
  12. AWESOME WILD BUNCH MATCH!!! STAGES WERE EXCELLENT!!!!
  13. Will, I think "B" would be your safest and fastest method to clear the 1911. As HJ noted, you will never have a knockdown target that you will be able to re-engage, however, there may be a time when you have a jam and have to clear your mag and insert a new one, thus, leaving you with extra rounds in the gun. BTW, my first Winter Range Wild Bunch match also. I feel your jitters brother!
  14. LL do we need to pre-register for this?
  15. I see they have one for the regular match but is there a list for the WB shooters? thanks
  16. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!! LET'S GET A LITTLE "WILDER" THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
  17. ER, thanks for the info on the targets. Since this will be the first time for myself and two other pards, we greatly appreciate the updates. Question: on the dueling tree, how big are the targets and how far will they be engaged? Also, will the shotgun knockdowns go down with light loads? Thanks in advance!
  18. Never mind, just say it on the other post, sorry
  19. Will there be other Wild Bunch side matches? shotgun/rifle?
  20. WOW, thanks Joe. I would say you pretty well covered it. thanks
  21. What is a good BAMM rifle to buy?
