  1. Rolled in late last night from the 2015 Kansas State Wild Bunch Match hosted by the Powder Creek Cowboys of Lenexa, Kansas. WOW, what a great shoot. Sarg Eli, Shellstuffer & Dusty Darryl and myself arrived bright and early Sat. morning and were quickly meet by several PCC with a hardy welcome to Kansas. This 12 stage match was awesome. Great stages, a lot of pistol, a lot of shotgun, average rifle, just perfect. Perfect stages. No confusing stages, no "reinventing the wheel" stages. As with any shoot, several folks are responsible of the success of the shoot, but Hondo Tucker done a GREAT job of running the match and our posse. Folks like Jimmy Reno, Sugar Britches, and several others combined efforts for the highly successful match. The MAN of the DAY, CROAKER!!! Ron Wesley Hardin became seriously ill from the heat, and Croaker, am EMT, came to his aid before the ambulance arrived. To our great relief, Ron recovered well !! Our contingent felt like this was one of the BEST Wild Bunch Matches we have ever attended!!! You will not be disappointed if you add it to next years list of WB matches!!
  2. Congrats to the 5th annual Illinois State Wild Bunch winners!!! Lady Viper Ladies Modern Shellstuffer Mens Modern Dusty Daryl Mens Traditional NEXT YEAR, there are plans being made already for a STAND ALONE Illinois State Wild Bunch Match at the World Shooting complex in Sparta Illinois. Stay tuned to this channel for further updates!!!!
  3. OK boys, calm down. In the original post, I simply asked what is the ruling. Our guy that does the chrono is, without a doubt, more that capable!. He has the equipment to do the chrono correctly. Other than, "It is the MD final decision" there is NOTHING in the rule book to handle this specific situation. I appreciate ALL of your comments, but "some" do not specifically apply to the rule book, ex. ask the shooter his bullet weight, and "trial" ammo. None of this is in the rule book. From what I have gathered, bottom line, it is the MATCH DIRECTOR'S FINAL DECISION. Need I say more. Thanks to all for you input!!
  4. Thank you for your reply Gentlemen. However, GJ indicated it is the MD decision and WBT indicates it is the match chrono operator to decide. Sooooooooooooooooo, who is right?
  5. At a State or higher level match, what if the shooter fails the power factor test before the match starts? Is he given the option of acquiring new ammo to rerun the test or is he disqualified from the match? Can't seem to find this situation in the rule book.
  6. As a Wild bunch Shooter, would you rather attend a "Stand Alone" State Wild Bunch match or rather attend a State Wild Bunch Match held in conjunction with a State Cowboy Action Shoot? What say you Wild Bunch Shooters?
  7. The Kaskaskia Cowboys will be hosting an RO class on Saturday, May 30th. Since we do not need a firing range, our location will be for the convenience of the participants, but somewhere is central part of Southern Illinois. Location to be determined later. Smokin Iron will be the instructor and we will NEED a minimum of 10 participants at $30.00 each. Refresher class students are FREE. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to participate and our cutoff date is May 9th on the 10 minimum. May 9th will be our regular monthly cowboy match at Sparta, Il, and we will be shooting 3 Wild Bunch stages after the cowboy match. It would be a good time to get some practice in before the Illinois State Wild Bunch match on June 11 and 12. Thanks! Back 40 back.40@earthlink.net

  12. As far as I know, Midwest State Wild Bunch Matches include Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas. Does anyone know if Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Tennessee etc have state Wild Bunch Matches? If so, when are they? Thanks in advance!
  13. And the new "JUNE 2014" book is the one to look at. Not sure thats up anywhere yet. Does anyone know when this will be posted?
  14. FYI, we had 24 shooters sign up for Wild Bunch on the spot for the Friday shoot. For the weekend, which obviously included the 10 stage cowboy shoot, raffles and auctions, over 150 shooters raised over $41,000 dollars for St. Judes Children Hospital!!!! Special thanks to Cardboard Cowboy for the donation of a "one of a Kind" 1911. Which was on the auction and brought $4200. And if I'm not mistaken, HE bought it back!!
  15. The St. Judes CAS Charity Shoot, held May 23, 24 & 25 at Milan Illinois, will also host a 3 stage Wild Bunch Match on Friday, May 23rd, starting at 1:00 pm sharp!
