  1. Jackaroo, if the gun has a live round chamber, it didn’t get there by brushing the hammer against something. If the shooter points the gun down range and it goes click, no call. But if it goes boom, MDQ. I believe that is what Norfleet meant.
  2. Shooter certainly did not deserve the penalty for not using the magazine. In my opinion, it’s like wearing a shotgun belt at your nipples instead of your navel. As long as you’re not wearing it there while shooting, doesn’t matter. Shooter did not use the mag, it’s a no call.
  3. For me, the loading strip works better. With a lot of stages being 35-42 rounds, I want my belt pouches full. A block big enough to hold 6 shotgun shells would be quite bulky. However, what ever works for you.....
  4. I turn mine upside down in the sonic cleaner about once a year. Then give them a spritz of Hornady One Shot.
  5. This is for traditional category, I presume? I make my own front sights but it’s very close to the Cylinder & Slide part in Brownell’s 206-000-044. It will likely be tall and you’ll have to file to fit. I also prefer the Harrison Design rear.
  6. Goody, is there anyway I could get a copy of that from you?
  7. I’ve heard 80+. Not 100% sure. Was hoping for more.
  8. 2 pairs of canvas leggings. US issue with the lacing replaced. Excellent condition. The problem? These are SMALL!! A size 2, I believe. $30.00 shipped a pair, $50.00 for both. Thanks for looking!
  9. Welcome! You’re in the right place!
  10. You mean a bulge? If they gauge and work, I wouldn’t worry about it.
  11. They're on the Winter Range site. http://www.winterrange.com/Scores%20by%20Category%20Wild%20Bunch%2002192018.pdf

  13. Allie, actually the rules are quite simple. They give the shooter much more freedom than restriction. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions!
  14. Hello all. If you shot Wild Bunch at Winter Range, make sure to complete their survey. The Winter Range board listens to us shooters. Let them know what you liked and what you would like to see. Thanks, Boggus Deal
  15. As the match director, I saw only good stuff from the rule changes. I think all really enjoyed the 7 rounds in the mag. No on DQed for the Model 12 as far as I know. If anyone knows otherwise, please let me know. As for tactical reloads, everyone I saw try it either got a P or had a miss on the sixth or seventh round. Having practiced it quite a lot before and after the rule change, I can say my split times are not affected very much. Thanks for asking! Boggus
  16. Doc, In 45 Auto with 170 grain bullet, Accurate shows 5.3 as a starting weight. Be careful if you're using this in WB. It may get close to the 1000 fps maximum. 200 grain starting load is 4.8. With the 230 grain bullet, their starting load is 4.6 grains. In 45 Colt, they don't list starting loads but their max load is 6.7 grains.
  17. Warm up? WARM UP? You don't need no stinkin' warm up!!! Especially if that scoundrel Shell Stuffer is coming with you! Seriously, as HJ stated, there won't be time for a warm up at WR. However, on the Friday before the match starts, there is a WB match at Cowtown. I do believe the practice bay will be open at WR on Sunday. I will check and if I find out anything, I will report here. Look forward to seeing you!
  18. Jackaroo, if someone puts a pistol down with the slide locked back and the slide falls and a round discharges, that pistol is in serious need of repair! While a 1911 can be made to go full auto, it ain't easy and a stuck firing pin will not cause it to. A stuck firing pin will not allow the cartridge to ride up the face of the slide and chamber. If you have a stuck firing pin, the only way to load a round would be to single load a round in the chamber and drop the slide. It might fire then but will not chamber the next round. If the pistol fired when placed on a prop, and the slide closing, it would fire when the slide is dropped with the gun in hand. That is for the safety notch on the hammer.

  20. Well, that's a loaded question, pun intended. Since we start with the shotgun loaded, I think you'll find Wild Bunch faster on the shotgun. I've been able to get six hits in under 3 seconds with gun started on table. With the lack of power factor in cowboy loads, the pistols and rifle will be slightly faster. However, target size and placement will also make a huge difference. If youre talking about a 4' square target at 3 yards, cowboy will be faster. If you talking about any real challenge to target size and placement, well, Wild Bunch will be faster...
  21. Stage Points. It will keep us one step further away from being cowboy with a 1911.
  22. Any hints of what might be changing? Abe, the committee is going back and forth on a LOT of things. As you know, we don't change unless we all agree. Happy Jack's internet is giving him trouble. Not sure when he may see your question.
  23. I did. It's a Rock Island import that isn't 100% square. Overal, they're great guns.
