Well this is a good new. Here in Europe we only have very very few of these model 12. In fact, it's even the first time I get to see one with vent Rib. 97 are more commun, even if today, it's quite hard to find any. Thanks to all for your reply, and to Happy Jack for his straight answer.

Hello All, I have a case here where I have been asked if the following 1897 Model 12 was legal or not. Rail is setting on the top of the barrel ( see picture ) I don't think it is legal, as I didn't find any original 1897 model 12 having this sort of item. ( 1897 Basic Line, Trench or Riot ) I just would like to have confirmation of this. Thanks for your answer Eric Note : Some more details : It is a Model 12 from 1950 and not a 1897 as first written.

Hi all, Case is WTC on round count stages. Stage is : 7 targets pistol. ( and R and SG Target but not relevant right now ) Stage description is : with pistols, 3 rounds on each Pistol target using 3 magazines loaded with 7 rounds each Shooters shoots 3 rounds on the first 5 targets, then 4 rounds on 6th target and 2 rounds on the last target. I have given a P and no misses. MD says in the US, there is no P on round count stage. I'm I right or Wrong ? Thanks.

We were on the same Track, the TO made the right decision. ( Reshoot ) Just that some people whatever you tell them ( even gently ) will sadly not listen. :'( Thanks to all for the your good advices.

Hi All. At the end of a stage, the TO sees that the timer did not take all the shots and that the time is to low to be a "real" time. ( 35 % faster then the fastest shooter in the posse.) The TO ask the shooter to do a reshoot. Was this the right decision ? What if the shooter refuses to do the reshoot ? What would his score be ? Thanks for your advises.

Hi Boggus, No problem. Did not take it personally at all. I'm just trying to improve myself in understanding the tiny little corners of the rules. Those rules that are at the edge and that sometimes are not always easy to deal with when you are on the stage. ..... and yes, a restart would have been most appropriate, ..... but FWIW, a rule clarification on a reload when NO round has been fired and NO Round is in the chamber could be nice. :) just my 2 cents.

Hi Joe, OK got your point. Stopping the shooter should have been the best option. Fully agree on this one. Did not do so, as no round was fired and the shooter was quite speedy on reloading another Mag. But my mistake anyway. fortunately it was at shooter's advantage. ( But not to the other's ... Mmmhhhh ) And Yes, the rule is a bit harsh on this one. But, .... the rules are the rules. If a clarification could be done on this, it would be fine, but it's not in my hands .... Hi everybody, I have a question regarding Reload. Shooter's is standing before the beep at the firing line. At the beep, shooter's draw his pistol, slides back, and during this operation, the magazine drops. The slide comes back forward and closes on an empty chamber with no magazine in the pistol. Shooter takes another magazin, insert the magazine without opening the pistol, slides back and start to shoot. What would be your call, if any ? This did happen during DOT this year in Slovakia and I was the RO. FYI I gave a No Call as the gun was totally empty when the reload occurred and no shoot did go downrange before. Just want to know if I made the correct call and if not why. Thanks Thanks a lot.
