☝️This!!!☝️ I'm probably quitting since now i'll have to go buy a 38 rifle with a carbon fiber mag, short stroke kit and start loading mouse fart 38's which also will require me to purchase new brass, primers and dies just to stay competitive.

Wv state wb champioship starts tomorrow and it was brought up because I shoot traditional and my 1911 is modified like the one in the frank norfleets pic, not as much but close. Thanks for the clarification. -

I loaded 5.5 and it felt louder and snappier than my old trail boss load so maybe it's just me? I ordered a new scale too. My current one is a 5 year old Amazon special so it may be out of calibration. 5.5 filled the case right close to the bottom of the bullet

I finally picked up some unique powder and loaded up a few and only fired 3 because they seemed hot compared to my old tb load. I used the data off the can. What's a safe light load for unique in 45acp that still gives me the power factor required? I run a 200gn rnfp.

Since it appears Trailboss will never be returning to the market, what is a good powder to switch to for 45acp/45colt? I have been using TB for both since I started reloading for SASS/WB and have never used anything else so I'm a little anxious about switching powders and don't know what's comparable to TB... Thanks!

Shooter engages pistol targets in correct order with no misses. End of stage, shooter clears pistol as per TO instructions and ejects a live round. All targets were engaged and shot clean. Obviously one of the 4 mags had 8 rounds, unknown which mag. WTC?

other than Amerc and Maxxtech, what other brands of brass should a 45acp reloader avoid? i bought a wilson combat barrel for my iver johnson 1911 and it has a very tight chamber. i cant get a crimp any tighter so those two brands of brass are junk now

so what you're both saying is i should come to one of your shoots and drop some on the ground while you're at the line? ;D really i wish i knew where this crap keeps coming from... i probably pulled 100 or more out of my all of brass...

So I went through all 400 process of 45 I loaded the other day and dropped every one of them into the "tightest" barrel and not one would drop all the way in. Got on YouTube and watched the video on how to set up my taper crimp die, set it up again and tada! There's the problem. I recrimped every one and checked every one and they all drop in now (other than that amerc crap I keep picking up somewhere)
