However, on the Friday before the match starts, there is a WB match at Cowtown. I do believe the practice bay will be open at WR on Sunday. Jackaroo, if someone puts a pistol down with the slide locked back and the slide falls and a round discharges, that pistol is in serious need of repair! While a 1911 can be made to go full auto, it ain't easy and a stuck firing pin will not cause it to. A stuck firing pin will not allow the cartridge to ride up the face of the slide and chamber. If you have a stuck firing pin, the only way to load a round would be to single load a round in the chamber and drop the slide. It might fire then but will not chamber the next round. If the pistol fired when placed on a prop, and the slide closing, it would fire when the slide is dropped with the gun in hand. That is for the safety notch on the hammer.

Well, that's a loaded question, pun intended. Since we start with the shotgun loaded, I think you'll find Wild Bunch faster on the shotgun. I've been able to get six hits in under 3 seconds with gun started on table. With the lack of power factor in cowboy loads, the pistols and rifle will be slightly faster. However, target size and placement will also make a huge difference. If youre talking about a 4' square target at 3 yards, cowboy will be faster. If you talking about any real challenge to target size and placement, well, Wild Bunch will be faster...

Stage Points. It will keep us one step further away from being cowboy with a 1911.

It's happened to me before. The only way to do it is take a reshoot. If a shooter refuses, they are in the wrong. In my opinion, it's a DNF.

It actually depends on the old sight and slide. Coming from someone who actually cuts them nearly every day, there are some slides with a wide tenon cut in them that does need welding up or it will show. Either way, it will need reblued. You're going to have bare metal showing.

Being that she won the 2017 Lady Traditional championship, she deserves a gun of her own. She has been shooting my hand me down.

First, my friend, no offense here! We are more adult than to be offended by an opinion. But what has the the targets got to do with the scoring system? Having shot 3 gun, USPCA and IDPA I get the scoring zones and while I would like to see more difficult targets, like Western 3gun, the scoring is still the scoring. Always open for opinions, comments, ideas and suggestions!

Not if I have a say! All other action shooting sports use a rank/stage point scoring system. Going to total time is yet another reason cowboy action will continue to be the laughing stock of shooting sports. WBAS is a shooting sport, not just a speed event of how fast can you hit barn doors with the muzzles of your guns.
