  2. GS We only launch the birds at Mach 1.....Actually that is standard speed for a Sporting Clay Target. Capt Sam & I use the 26" barrel length on our Mod 12's. they swing and handle really good. They also work on Wild Bunch Clays real nice also. Goatneck
  3. This year as last we will offer 2 BAMM side matches at EOT. One will be a Combat Match and the other will be a Sniper Match. The combat match will have 15 rounds. 5 Pistol 5 Rifle and 5 Shotgun shot on one of the Bays on the south end of the range. The Sniper Match will be shoot on the hill at the Long Range location. 10 Shots on targets from 100 yards to 200 yards you will reload as needed. They will be shot on Saturday and Sunday. It looks to be a fun match lots of interest already. Pack your Bolt Action Military Rifles and join in on the fun. The Wobble Trap will be back again this year.............. Goatneck
  4. GS One Point that was made on this post was recommended that it was not needed to segregate your brass by head stamp. That does work pretty good. If you want to Maximize your performance from your rifle this is what you can do. First sort all brass by head stamp. You can take the time to trim to the correct OAL. Next weigh each piece and sort by weight this takes a little time but it pays off in the long run. Keep the brass segregated by weight using a small deviation for each group. You only have to do this exercise once. This small exercise will improve your Rifle performance quit a bit. Pressure and velocity is greatly affected by case thickness and volume even at the lower FPS that we shoot in the BAMM Rifles Goatneck
  5. I have 2 model 73's in 45 ACP. They run flawless. Between the two rifles I have over 8,000 round fired. With no problems. As Dusty stated most of the time it is ammo issues that cause 1911's and the 45 ACP Rifles to cause problems. Codymatic ACP Rifle is the only one I would consider. Goatneck
  6. Congratulations to Boggus Deal and Evil Roy for both shooting an outstanding WB Championship Match and to the rest of the shooters that placed in their Classes. Congrats to 2017 WB National Champion Capt Sam Evans..........Way to go Son Goatneck
  7. G S We never reuse primers that were in a case and the bullet was removed with an impact puller. We do not even use those primers for practice. As cheap as primers are why would one risk the possibility of having a Miss Fire and cost you winning a match.. With that said I have seen competitors in different disciplines mostly in precision Rifle & Pistol have many issues with reused Primers, even the anvils falling out of the primer when reused. 11. Most all BAMM Shooters use lead bullets. Nearly all ranges where Wild Bunch and BAMM are shot only allow Lead Bullets. I shoot a 30-06 in 3 different rifles. I use a 170gr .310 dia. lead gas check bullet. I use a slow burning powder 4759 with a Federal Gold Medal Large Rifle Primer. Norm Purcella Roswell, New Mexico makes the bullets. His phone number is 575-625-2825 Goatneck
  12. Not all factory 12 Ammo is the same length. They will all vary some what. goatneck

  14. John Campbell keep in mind this is not a sanctioned Wild Bunch lever Rifle Side Match. It can only be shot at a monthly club match. Your Match Director has the option for the rules. Again there are no set rules by the Wild Bunch Committee. Goatneck
  15. JFN Man those are nice looking buckles
  16. As Joe stated open up the rear V sight and have fun
  17. There were no set dates or serial numbers where the flags were in stalled. I have done action jobs on Model 12's from the 1930's up thru the 1960's. Some came with flags and some with out. Even guns built in the 60's some came with out flags. No rime or reason for Winchester shotguns with or with out the flags. I have been working on Model 12's for many years. Maybe someone has an insight to their existence. Goatneck
