Go to your favorite news stand and buy the July issue. I found mine in Albertsons Super Market. This is the type of promotion that will give us great exposer in front of the shooting community. 7. WST Powder is a good choice. I use WST in many different guns with great results. Your loading data is what we use for Wild Bunch. My chrony velocities are less than your data but not that far apart. You are on the right track good luck and good shooting.............
  8. Update on the Wild Bunch side matches @ EOT.. The Military Bolt Action Match "BAM" will have 3 rifles avaiable for anyone to shoot in the match. Factory ammo is avaiable. We will charge for the ammo which will be cheap. You can shoot as many times as you like. Come try it out, it is a hoot to shoot.
  9. Happy Jack I do not have any of that type ammo. I would try Midway or Graft & Son they do carry it. If you have trouble finding ammo you are more than welcome to use one of my 1903 Springfields See you in a few weeks
  10. Happy Jack I don't have any of this type ammo. I think you can find the ammo at Midway or Graft & Son. If you can not find any you are more than welcome to use one of my 1903 Springsfields See you in a few weeks

  12. WB EOT Shooters this year we have a great line up of side matches in store for every one. A coupe of the matches are 2 man team Clays Wabble Trap and the Bolt Action Military Rile Match. The Wabble Trap Match is shot with 2 team members. 24 Birds are launched from the Trap. Each start with 6 rounds in their Shotgun. Each Team Member will have 12 birds to shoot for a total of 24 Birds The most Birds hit win the match. Now for those of you who have never seen a wabble trap the birds are thrown every 2 seconds until all 24 birds are thrown. Each Team member shoot 2 rounds than the other team member shoot 2 rounds alternating until all birds are thrown. The trap will throw a bird from a different position with each bird launched. The trap is moving left to right and up and down. Wild Bunch Bolt Action Rifle Match " BAM Match" The rifle must be an original Caliber Bolt Action Rifle issued by any country to its Military forces through the end of W W 11. It must be as issued with Original iron battle sights and no external modifications. Faithful reproduction are also allowed. You can use factory FMJ loads or reloads and lead bullets. The match is a 10 round match with the most hits in the fastest time. Shooter will start with no more than 5 rounds in the magazine and the bolt open. The shooter will reload as needed. If you don't have a rifle I am sure one of use will have one you can use. Looking forward to seeing everyone @ EOT Goatneck
  13. Let me make refrerence to the issue J Frank addressed. The shooter in question as described by Goody in fact does have extensive damage to his hand and arm. Several years back the shooter approched me with his problem. At that time he could not shoot WB because of his issue. The WB Committee gave him special consideration. He carriers a letter from his Doctor referencing his Handicapp. The letter is used in the event he is questioned by Match officials. Now that shooter is shooting every WB Match around our area for the past number of years. He is a big supporter of WB. Goatneck
  14. Sam you are missing the point here the match directors me included will continue to use 4 to 6 mags a stage. At some point in the distance future if the round count per magazine goes to 7 you will be shooting more 1911 rounds down range. For me thats great I like shooting the 1911. The rule states based on 5 per magazine. Let me say this Sam do not assume the round count recommendation, remember in the rule it is Only a Recommendation, will stay the same if the mag round count goes to 7. Our local monthly and State match will continue to utilize 4 to 6 mag changes per stage. You will not see a change at the National or EOT with Mag changes. They will continue to use 4 to 6 or 7 mags per stage. The Wild Bunch Matches held around the county shoot a lot of 1911. Go to a match put on by Wild Bodie Tom and see how many mag changes you make in his match. WBT puts on a great Match
  15. Sam the number of magazines currently used in WB matchs are from 4 to 6 mag ( 5 round mags)used per stage. If the rules at some point in the future change to 7 rds per mag the number of magazines used per stage will stay the same. We will see this at our monthlys and our state match, National and World Championships. This was stated in my early post on this thread.
  16. Everyone has posted real good ideas on target presentation. I have given it a lot of thought for 7 rd Mag stages for target presentation and it is not a big issue to change over. Boggus has a real good point all stages may not have 7 rounds per Mag some could 5 and some stages may have 5 & 7 mags togetgher. Please do not misconstrue what Boggus and I have posted on this wire as the current direction for SASS Wild Bunch. It is strictly my observation. With that said one fact that will not change is the number of Magazines used in each stage.
  17. Lets look at this topic from a different perspective. If 7 rounds in the Mag were legal. Most of you have missed one important point that has been addressed. WE who write Stages in my case for Monthly Matches and varoius WB State Championsships around the country. Also the stage writers for Winter Range and EOT will maintain the same Magazine Count per stage as we shoot now. Lets look at it from a round count view only. I also would write all my stages with the same Mag count . Monthly WB Match 6 stages with an average 4 mags per stage= 28 pistol rds per stage 6 mag stage will equal to =42 pistol rds = 168 pistol rds per match State, Winter Range & EOT 10 stages average 4 mags per stage = 280 pistol rds per match 12 stage Match avg 4 mags per stage... =336 pistol rds per match From my point of view I will shoot what every the rules calls for. Steel Dust Dan and Lone Dog the question to you would you attend a match with that high of round count? I have visited with a number of shooters and they cannot afford or will not shoot that many pistol rounds in a match. I think most of the shooters think when the round count per mag increases to 7 that the number of mags will decrease. Thats not going to be the case Some food for thought
