  1. Will I will PM you with some information. The WB RO course we taught was held last Saturday. We will try to see if we can get another one scheduled but it would have to be right after WR as most of us start shooting Fire and Ice on Feb 19 and go through until the end of WR. You should try to get to Phoenix on the 18th to shoot a day of WB and 2 days of CAS warm-up at Cowtown In any case, we are at Pioneer - lot 150 so drop over when you get here. Legendary Lawman
  2. It is not necessary to register for this course but it makes it easier on us so that we can have enough material and pins available. We can also send people more details including the plans for a "debriefing" after the course! Back Forty - we will PM you.
  3. There will be a Wild Bunch Range Officer Course on Saturday, January 30, 2016, 9 a.m. at Pioneer RV Park, 36408 N. Black Canyon Hwy, Phoenix, AZ, about 1 mile north of Ben Avery Shooting Complex on Hwy 17. (If you are going to attend, email for directions – do not trust your GPS!) To prepare for the course you must download the latest manuals just released: 1. SASS Wild Bunch Action Shooting Handbook Version 9a, January 2016 2. SASS Wild Bunch Range Operations Manual Version 9, January 2016 Once downloaded, please read both manuals. Then re-read them. Then take your now worn manuals and read them once again. The course will start at 9 a.m. The cost will be $30. For those taking it as a refresher the course is free. Please bring a lunch and refreshments. Coffee and water will be available. For complete administrative details and directions and to confirm attendance, or if you have any questions please email Serenity at peteronkynda@gmail.com. Serenity and Legendary Lawman
  4. A belated Merry Christmas and all the best wishes for a great new year to everyone Legendary Lawman and Serenity
  5. Great picture Fred! If there is enough interest, maybe we can get a BAMM match going up in this neck of the woods sometime? Legendary Lawman
  6. I haven't used it for a while but I loaded 4.8 gr of HP38 (same as 231) but it was behind a 230 gr RNBB and it turned a PF of 170 in my 1911. You really need to chronograph your own loads with your own gun to be sure - and I would recommend that you don't have it too close to the minimum. Legendary Lawman
  7. EOT Wild Bunch RO Course reminder The Wild Bunch RO Course at EOT is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, starting at 9 a.m. at the Gem Saloon. If you would like to attend and have not already done so, please notify either Amber or Slipnoose at SASS. This will allow them to have all the paperwork complete before the course. You no longer have to be CAS ROII qualified but you should have some RO experience. In preparation, first make sure that you have the most current manuals: WB RO manual v8.1 and the WB handbook V8 both from 2015. It is imperative that you read/re-read both manuals and be familiar with their content. We do not expect vendors to be present at Founders Range at that time so bring your own lunch. • Bring note taking materials (paper and pens/pencils) to the training. You may use your notes, but NOT the WBAS Handbook during the test. • Do NOT bring any firearms or ammunition to the class. The training course consists of a presentation, multiple-choice test, and a practical test. All the test answers are in the WBAS Handbook, so we emphasize that you read and understand the Handbook before the class. The training can take up to 6 hours, but we will take a lunch break and other breaks as needed. Cost of the course is $30. Legendary Lawman
  8. Good shooting Marshall and congratulations to to the other winners. Legendary Lawman and Serenity
  9. Gene Serenity and I have signed up for the Long Range side match but can help elsewhere as well. Legendary Lawman
  10. Thanks for the heads up. We are looking forward to it. Legendary Lawman and Serenity
  11. Dusty What is the best weight of bullet for the .303 British? Legendary Lawman
  12. Funny you ask that Blackey. The short answer is no. We were talking about it last Sunday at a shoot where a shooter says we uses bees wax to keep his holster slick. We spent the summer moving to a new house so now we can turn our minds back to important things and look for it. Legendary Lawman
  13. It is always fun to shoot with Frenchy and the whole gang from the Beau Bassin Range Riders. They put on fun matches for all levels of shooters. Serenity and I always enjoy visiting and especially enjoyed teaching the WB RO course.
  14. Back on topic - I echo the recommendations for Wild Bodie Tom. He does a great job on 1911s. Legendary Lawman
