SHB pg.36 "Rifle sights" says no barrel or receiver mounted peep sights.
-
Why aren't they legal for Plainsman in CAS? As on an H&R Buffalo Classic.
-
The WB forum seems to stay on topic better than the CAS forum as well. When I joined, you really had to do homework to get the answers to the security questions. Bettin that keeps some folks away! I knew some of the answers because that was in the day of getting an actual Chronicle every month. Miss those days!

YES / NO 5. Increase age-based categories: Open or Classic age category, up to 60 years; then Senior from 60 to 70 years; and Super Senior 70+? YES / NO 6. Should shotgun misses be allowed to made up? YES / NO 7. Enable "rifle to be last" in WB stage design? YES / NO This is what I get! Ya need to scroll it to the left. Maybe it's just my phone if it looks normal to everyone else!

Wow that became hard to try and read. How'd you do that. At least in my screen it's way right and vertical print!!

Factory sights on Springfield Armory Mil-Spec 1911
Eyesa replied to Ol Salty Sailor's topic in The Wild Bunch Wire
Agreed! Somewhat off topic: Similar to Plainsman in CAS, on an H&R Buffalo Classic, a peep sight mounted on the tang/stock is ok, but the factory Williams one mounted on the barrel is not. What advantage does the barrel mount give? Other than not getting the sight rammed into your thumb on recoil! -

Lucked out though, I had just PMd a Pard to make a purchase. Couldn't get in to make payment, but when I got the email notification, the link went in so I could get his info. Still down this morning. Oddly it acts different on my phone,c which I usually use, than on my PC .

Me too 🤣. I did send a message to SASS yesterday about it, but didn't get a response.

Thanks Joe, by the time I shoot a WB match I'll be clearer on the rules! Most appreciated. EH

What should he have done to avoid the penalties, load a fresh mag, shoot the three targets 5,6,&7 then 1-4 for the next run and load another mag to complete this requiring dropping a mag with unfired rounds and one in the chamber? A newbie question! Thanks

Gun Problem - Extractor Problem - Reloading Problem - Or ???
Eyesa replied to JJ's topic in Reloading for Wild Bunch
Wow, being new to 1911s, I'm impressed with how technical these "fitting" adjustments are! As always, thanks GJ for sharing your vast knowledge. -
We must be vigilant at all times. DO NOT PUT PERSONAL INFO IN POSTS Always use PM to share numbers, email, etc.

When and Where do you WB ?==== Informal survey =========
Eyesa replied to CC Moonshine's topic in The Wild Bunch Wire
This summer we started allowing folks to shoot our CAS match WB, allowing 5 in the mag for the 1911 and stoking the 97 for the usual 2-4 SG. Only a few do it, but seems to be well received so far. -
