  1. That would take a submission to SASS for a modification, referred to the ROC for review/discussion and voted on by the TG's. Marshal Stone
  2. This has been a multi-page discussion on the Cowboy wire. We don't need to keep beating the horse here. Marshal Stone
  3. I am. Shooting the old/new Classic Traditional Elder Statesman I understand over half the shooters switched to Classic. YEEEEEE HAAAAAA !!!!!!!! Others would have but didn't bring the larger caliber rifles when they snow birded. Marshal Stone

  5. Boggus quoted the current rule. We'll see what the new book says when it is published by SASS. Marshal Stone
  6. Only in one scene with Crazy Lee in the bank at the very beginning of the movie. Marshal Stone
  7. This is the exact reason for the move. Marshal Stone
  8. Adding the model 25 is not in the per view of the ROC, as it would not be a clarification. That would be a rule change, and it would require a TG vote or a mandate from SASS. Marshal Stone
  9. Blacked out three dot sights are legal. I don't know which ROC member said they were illegal, but they are wrong. Marshal Stone ROC member

  12. Everyone is getting wrapped around the axle on this one. Please refer to both the handbooks for Cowboy page 16 and Wild Bunch page 19. The very first thing that both say for safe to leave the shooters hand is, and I emphasize is, "EMPTY" Read what the manual actually says for the shotgun reference safe to leave shooters hands. 13. One of the things to consider when having a holster made is Page 19 Holsters, second line says, "Holsters must be of traditional or military design made from canvas or leather" I added the emphases. Mernickle holsters meets that standard. Others may or may not. Marshal Stone
  14. Which 1911 holster are you referring to. They make several different ones. Marshal Stone
  15. I use VV N320 Have won 2 World Senior Traditional Championships with it. Marshal Stone
  16. Hopefully they don't have plastic baseplates. Marshal Stone
  17. CC I don't know what you have studied and what methods were used. BUT Making 150 PF in a .38 is not an issue. The issue is that shooters look at loading data that is meant for a pistol barrel length of 4 to 5 inches and say you can't make PF and stay within recommended charges. Go to Hodgen website they have a very interesting article on the subject of muzzle velocity from a pistol verses a rifle with the same powder charge. All within SAMMI specifications. As a side note I personally have tested 3 different Factory .38 Cowboy Action loads that more than make a 150 PF. Marshal Stone

  21. It's a personal preference thing. Some like it in front, some in the back, some all on one belt, some use 2 belts. There is no one size fits all. Try some different things and see what works best for you. Marshal Stone
  22. Mine are; 1. Springfield Mil-Spec or a Colt Series 70 2. I think around 8. would have to check the safe to be sure. Have .22, 9mm, and 45 acp. 3. My EDC is a Ruger SR 1911 in commander length, Great gun and easy to conceal. 4. first fired on in the mid 80's. Only had my Grandfathers 45acp. Didn't really get into 1911's until Wild Bunch. Happy Thanksgiving Marshal Stone
