  1. Possible reason: 45 Colt can't be loaded from the top in my '73 due to COL. One of these days I'll get around to trying with 45 Schofield and/or C45S Both of these work for reloads in a 73 just fine. kR
  2. Is todays date 4-1-16? ??? kR
  3. I sort my acp brass and then load all the sp at the same time. Last time was 600+. kR
  4. We're flying into Bangor on May 22. kR
  5. Just checked. No W's sorry Willy. kR
  6. Hey WB, SB ended up with one at one of the matches we were at. It might be yours. We'll see ya this summer and bring it with us. kR
  7. What time do you need someone to run the chrono? kR
  8. Try the LASC site you will find in detail the causes of leading with low or medium velocity loads. kR
  9. Shirttail Bess and I would like to take this class. kR
  10. No reload involved. First round was partially in chamber. I read and reread the rule and as near as I could tell the situation was not covered. What actually happened was the shooter fired the round in the gun and then did load a loaded mag without the slide locked back. After discussing what happened the shooter wanted to know if he could have reinserted the empty mag so the slide would have stayed locked back. I told him I wasn't sure but it would not in my opinion be a "tactical reload" as there was nothing in the mag. kR
  11. Cowboy shooting a stage has a jam with a 1911 on the last round, drops the mag and unjams gun. Round is now in the chamber. Can the shooter reinsert the empty mag with the slide forward? I realize you can not insert a loaded mag at this point, but can you reinsert the empty mag? kR
  12. I have used it for WB. The min load is more than adequate to meet the PF. kR
  13. Saw a couple this weekend, one had a couple of hiccups, I think the other ran fine. KR
  14. I agree with GJ it does not need powder to be considered live. First it is not readily proven as to the presence of powder. Second I have seen a primer with no powder put a projectile thru both sides of a cardboard box. kR
  15. To me live ammo would have a primer that has not gone off even tho it has been struck. kR
  16. Thank you very much. kR I may be able to help with side matches.
  17. I read what he wrote. However there is a difference between fmj ammo and the Russian milspec which is copper clad steel. I just want to make sure I will not damage the targets. kR
  18. I probably wasn't detailed enough on type of ammo. These are milsurp 147g copper clad steel bullets. I think they are OK on some steel as long as its out there a ways but I wouldn't want to put dents or holes in targets. What will the distance(s) be at WRWB? kR
  19. Will a Mosin Nagant with standard military (Russian 7.62X54) ammo be allowed? kR
  20. I have an SR1911, 2 Colt 1911s, an Ria and I had a Kimber until my wife appropriated it. They all are very accurate but the trigger on the RIA is atrocious. The Ruger and the Colt gov't model will take about anything you feed them and are not too sensitive about being shot dirty. The RIA is very sensitive about what you feed it. kR
  21. Goody did ya get that ATI? I have one, the trigger is very stiff and it has a pretty tight chamber. It will not chamber some ammo that will work in SR1911's, Colt GM's or Kimbers. kR
