  1. Additionally, try not to have any malfunctions. Most malfunctions I see are ammo related. Take time to find how to load ammo that will consistently cycle in your 1911. If malfunctions are gun related, have a competent 1911 gunsmith take a look. Some malfunctions are magazine related. After I started using Tripp mags I haven't had any mag problems. Even after that, you may still have an occasional malfunction so practicing what JFN said is important.
  2. WBT has also done guns for some of the BOTTOM shooters too, like me. :-[ My guns that he has done deserve to be in the hands of a much better shooter than me. But I'm keeping em. ;D I'm sure there are many good 1911 pistol smiths around the country, but WBT takes care of most of us in the Southwest.
  3. Red Dot has been available in my area and works for both. Works well for 12ga shotgun loads also. KingSnake
  4. I voted for 7 round mags. I have no idea if 5 round mags has anything to do with WB growth, but shooting more rounds without as many mag changes sounds good to me. I also like it because it does separate WB from CAS a bit more. I get really offended when I hear "WB is just CAS with a 1911".
  5. I voted. As JFN specifically requested no comments, I will not post them in his thread. KingSnake
  6. I use an overall length of 1.215" with a .468/.469 crimp using 230gr LRN bullets. I case gauge all rounds and the only ones that don't fit the gauge are split cases that I missed when sorting brass. I'm using Dillon dies on a 650 press with a Lee Factory Crimp die in the final position. Good Luck, KS
  7. I'm using the kit with the poly-topped follower. KingSnake
  8. Upon reccomendation by several of the respected WB shooters I know, I have replaced the springs and followers in my McCormick mags with Tripps kits and they run great. I'm going to buy about a dozen of the Ruger 7 round mags when I can get a good price on them. KingSnake
  9. I'm using McCormick Shooting Stars. Tried Meg-Gars and did not like them - 1 of 3 wouldn't drop and the other 2 were marginal. Have a new Kimber mag that came with my new Kimber Custom II and I like it so far. Might buy some more of them. KingSnake
