  1. Cowtown Wild Bunch matches are now held on the 4th Sunday of the month except months with conflicting schedules like this month with EOT. Jerry, come on out and shoot with us. We have a really good group of WB shooters and have a ton of fun. We will help you with whatever you need to get started. KingSnake
  2. Total Time and my wife, Shotgun Shannon, would also prefer Total Time
  3. 5 targets 1-2-1-2-1 repeat for additional mags or for 2 mags on 5 targets 2-4-2-4-2 simple sweeps, but I could could still screw them up.
  4. I'll keep shooting WB no matter what does or doesn't change. But I do prefer Total Time. JMHO KS
  5. Enjoyed the video. Lots of reactive targets. Looks like everyone's having a real good time.
  6. From 2012: http://sassnet.com/wildbunch/forum/index.php?topic=443.msg3197#msg3197
  7. Thanks for the reply Evil Roy. Sounds like for those of us who are only shooting WB, it's still gonna be LOST BRASS as I suspect the Boy Scouts won't have the brass ready for sale till Wed or Thur.
  8. We know how much ammo we're gonna shoot at Winter Range Wild Bunch, but does anyone know if it will be a LOST BRASS MATCH ??
  9. Looking at Colts website it seems the 1991 has white dot sights. They would need to be blacked out or changed to be shot in Traditional category. KingSnake
  10. I shot my Ruger 1911 for 3 years in Modern WB. The gun was definitely better than the shooter. I now shoot a Colt in Traditional and it shoots better than the shooter. I know folks who win WB with a Les Baer and I know folks who have won WB with a RIA. As Boggus said, "we aren't shooting Bullseye". Over 15,000 rounds thru the Ruger with NO problems. KingSnake
  11. Wife & I both shoot traditional Colts. Hers a series 70 and mine a series 80 (with all the 80's safety crap removed). As GJ said, no regrets. KingSnake
  12. Dusty, now that sounds like a very LARGE time. I foresee us doing something like that at our Yavapai WB match. We shoot out in the boonies and up to 200 yards is not a problem. Right now I know we have available an 03 and three 03-A3's. I think one of members from Flagstaff might have a few different rifles to use. Due to Bordertown being the same weekend as our usual shoot, we won't have a match till Nov. Sounds like plenty of time to plan something. KingSnake
  13. Dusty, I am a total novice at bolt rifles. I'm using some info PC shared with me. I wouldn't have even tried a flat point except PC gave me some to try. 13.5 Red Dot with 165 poly flat point. Happy to use Red Dot as I have a lot of it. Chrono's about 1620. Pretty accurate at 200 yards using the 600 line on the rear sight, if that makes any sense.. And it's a pleasure to shoot. Could shoot that load all afternoon without tiring out. I'm hoping to be able to shoot BAMM somewhere. PC has got me and several others around here interested. KingSnake
  14. Dusty, I don't know a thing about .303's, but PC gave me some poly coated flat points to try in my 03-A3 30-06 and they feed like butter. All I had shot thru it before was factory pointy bullets (that's a technical term ;)). I guess different rifles like different fodder. Anyhow, those poly coated flat points are gonna be my standard reloads. KingSnake
  15. I've watched Goatneck Clem shoot his twice and his runs like greased lightning.
  16. Allie, I apologize for all Arizonans. We didn't know that WBT had escaped again. We will punish whoever was supposed to watching him. ;)
  17. Are lead rounds required for all BAMM matches? I recently acquired an 03-A3 but don't have any lead 30-06 rounds (yet). I hope to be able to shoot some BAMM matches in the future. KingSnake
  18. Right you are Dusty. Below is from Wikipedia. 1913 is the year. The Wild Bunch is a 1969 American epic Western film directed by Sam Peckinpah about an aging outlaw gang on the Texas-Mexico border, trying to exist in the changing "modern" world of 1913. The film was controversial because of its graphic violence and its portrayal of crude men attempting to survive by any available means.
  19. Red Dot works fine for all WB firearms. Seems to be some around frequently.
  20. Pecos Clyde and Goatneck Clem both come to mind. Send them a PM thru this forum. KingSnake
