I all looking to use a Ruger 1911 for Wild Bunch and was thinking about some kind of texture for the front strap. One gunsmith recommended something Wilson Combat sells that mounts under the grips but I think that is illegal. Has anyone had their Ruger front strap serrated or checkered? If so can you recommend someone to do this work? Thanks Bill

They have 45ACP 230gr Coated Round Nose re-manufactured ammo at decent price. Has anyone tried it? I am looking for an affordable source of ammo for wild bunch Thanks

I am looking at getting a Colt series 70 for Wild Bunch Traditional and will want to lower the ejection port. I like the look of traditional blue but know after they cut the port, the slide will have to be re-blued. I haven't ever done that before. Is it a hassle or does it look OK? Or should I just go stainless? Opinions welcome. Thanks BB
