Folks, concerning the "Condition 1" idea.

Every shooting sport, that utilizes Condition 1 to start, require the holster cover the entire trigger guard.

This is to keep the finger off the trigger when drawing your pistol

If we go Condition 1, everyone will have to get a new holster.

I use Ed Browns. Love them.
Kingsnake sells them and will engrave your alias on the edge so they can be returned to you. Although it took a year for me to get one back from a match, I did get it back 😄

Pistol Magazines
• Standard length only.
• A pad may be added to the base of magazines so long as it conforms to the following requirements:
o It is made of natural leather material only.
o It is no larger than the contour of the base of the magazine.
o The total thickness of the base pad may not extend more than 1/4" beyond the original base plate.

Does it conform to these specs?

"This category substitutes a rifle caliber lever action rifle for a SASS main match rifle with rifle targets set further out.
Rifle caliber lever action or pump action as manufactured before WW1 ended. Rifle caliber is defined as having a minimum 1.8” cartridge case length. The 1895 Winchester and the Savage 99 originals or reproductions along with period correct receiver mounted peep sights are legal for TR."

If so, you're good to go.

If it's just "overall" no buckles.

If it's category, buckles.

Top 10 buckle, no thanks.

Top Category, buckle. The other 2+ in the category, something else.

Looks like it's a go for the Class.

Either at Cowtown Range or my place. Both are within 30 minutes from Ben Avery.

Well, the 2023 EOT Wild Bunch had 140 shooters complete the course of fire so, I guess Days of Truth would be second largest.

If it is original to the barrel, it is ok.

The Whiskey Row Gunslingers have started a Wild Bunch match on the Second Saturday of each month.
First match is August 12, 2023.

Range Rule: Semi Auto Pistols must remain in a case until you are on the shooting bay, then they may be holstered, then go back into a case when leaving the bay.

Well, according to the shooters handbook, this is a legal gun for Modern Class, as long as it doesn't exceed 42oz in weight.

The literature from Les Baer doesn't state it's weight.

As for the rules being complicated, the Firearms Covenants are pretty precise and easy to get through.

There is no requirement, in CAS or WB, for an RO to be "current". Only TG's

check the magazine/magazines against a .45 mag.

Make sure the "slide lock" cutout in the .22 mag is the same as the .45 mag. Sounds like the slide lock button is not going through the cut out.

My wife uses the Ruger 1911, and loves it. Right out of the box it's great. Add some spring work and it's better.

She shoot Modern as well.

Get it. You'll love it.
