Slings in BAMM

Are there any rules for using slings in BAMM?

I see them on the rifles but don't see anyone using them.

There are no rules against using a sling wrap etc. off hand in BAMM . For some reason though folks won’t use the advantage.

When I shot service rife we used them sitting and prone. We couldn't use them standing but they had to be on the rifle.

Never understood the logic of that rule having shot a garand match [my second] a while ago. You need the sling even more when you’re standing.

You haven't seen enough BAMM shot.  I use a 1907 style leather sling and find it improves my shooting a lot.  All positions, unless we are shooting a bench rest event.

I use a sling wrap frequently as does my wife. I think some folks don’t want to take the time......it’s something just how much better it is if you have the sling adjusted properly to begin with.

I use my sling basically every time I shoot my 1903 and Garand unless I am sitting at a table.
