wdbarbe Posted March 18, 2021 Share Posted March 18, 2021 I all looking to use a Ruger 1911 for Wild Bunch and was thinking about some kind of texture for the front strap. One gunsmith recommended something Wilson Combat sells that mounts under the grips but I think that is illegal. Has anyone had their Ruger front strap serrated or checkered? Abe E.S. Corpus Posted March 18, 2021 Share Posted March 18, 2021 I asked about the Wilson checkered panel on this forum and got a ruling that it is legal. It is not part of the grip panels so it is not an illegal “wrap around grip”. Boggus Deal Posted March 19, 2021 Share Posted March 19, 2021 Abe, problem with Colt GCs is that the serrations they put on is a very odd LPI. It’s hard to make right.
