I would suggest you contact your TG, provide them with actual handbook citations regarding this issue, and help them work on it. It all starts with the TG's. I have used Flying W Ramrod's post to highlight an issue that was obvious from the attendees at the 4 Corners Regional TG meeting. To garner as much feedback as possible Wooden Nichols opened the meeting to all Wild Bunch shooters. It became obvious that many attendees did not know the current issues being discussed or who their respective TGs are. 1 Quote

The TG's submit member concerns, questions, inputs to the ROC. The ROC formulates answers. The answers are promulgated to the TG's who, in turn, take them to the members for input/votes. The members send their inputs/votes to the TG's who take them to the ROC. If the members say yea, or nae, the ROC adopts the results. That's the way it should work. If it doesn't, change who's at fault. TG's, ROC's, whomever. The members are the deciding body. Just like a Republic, one person, one vote. Since this is a "wholly owned subsidiary of SASS, the final say is in their purview. I'm sure SASS will do what the members desire if, financially, ideology, and legally, feasible. Quote
Boggus Deal Posted Wednesday at 12:18 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:18 AM Well, they surely did not do what the shooters wanted with the rifle and shotgun rules, did they? And it sure didn’t help attendance… But if you want to keep believing that warm wet stuff running down your back is rain, be my guest! 1 Quote
El Chapo Posted Wednesday at 12:37 AM Posted Wednesday at 12:37 AM I have no confidence that my proposed changes will ever happen because 1) I'm a nobody and 2) old habits die hard and SASS has a LOT of tradition. I will still be shooting SASS in 20 years though, and hopefully still in 40 years. That said, because I'm (not quite) half the age of many of you even though I have been shooting handguns competitively for 23 years and counting, I hope I can bring my experience from other shooting sports to show how we can poach people from those sports to come and shoot with us. I do hope most of you aren't frustrated with me because I can be contrarian, but I hope you all understand that I love the shooting sports and I come from that position in every comment I make. Above all, SASS has the best people I've met in the shooting sports, and that's why I have every intention of continuing to go to these events for a long time into the future. Quote

Neither of which were in touch with the rank and file shooters. They only listened to their over inflated egos and self worth. Now, each, club, each member, each shooter has a voice. And, if the current TG/ROC don't listen, they can, and will, be replaced by those who will. Quote

I have been shooting SASS for over 20 years. If you're voice isn't being heard, and is the majority voice, change your TG. It's, really, that simple. Don't whine, don't complain, change it. Quote

First, what club are you a member of? Second, go to the main page here and see the post about "welcome 2024-2025 WBAS Leadership" Third, scroll down until you come to your State/Club and find the TG listed. If you're club is not on there, then contact you club officers and get a WBTG elected and into the program.. The WBTG should do the same as the CAS TG by being a conduit, to and from, SASS WB ROC and the Club regarding WB Questions, policies, changes etc. Quote
