Boggus Deal Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Last reference I can find on slings is from 2012 and they were NOT legal on long guns. Either I am missing it or it is not in the latest WBAS Handbooks. Are slings legal on long guns? Quote

Lone Dog Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I asked this same question several years ago and was told in no uncertain terms at the time that absolutely no, not legal. Safety concern due to the possibility of snagging on a prop or something. That ruling came down from on high too. Saying that, why would anyone want to? Now a bayonet on a trench gun I can see... 8) Quote
Tully Mars Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I shot with a sling on my 97' without issue's for years until I was kindly asked to remove it. Never had a problem with a prop or it being in my way. That said I wouldn't put one back on. Tully Quote
