  1. Merry Christmas to All!! JFN are you going to shoot with the Lone Ranger mask you wore in the video at WR? Tully
  2. Most current consistent model 12 user' s are accustomed to the firing line procedures and for the most part remind the TO that they are shooting a M12. This process took a long time to instill in shooters, TO's and spotters. Heck we are still working on it. It's the main reason I shoot a 97', so I don't have one more thing to think about. By reversing the procedure to a hammer click being heard from no hammer click being heard will set people up for failure. And as HJ said most WB matches do not have a loading table officer to double check loading of the M12. Tully P.S. Allie and ST, thanks for the kind words.
  3. Allie, All Model 12 shooters I saw last weekend at GCWB declared their "model 12" and pulled the trigger for the TO. I even shot my Model 12 on a few stages and remembered to pull the trigger for the TO. Model 12 user's seem to be catching on well to the rule of pulling the trigger for the TO, or at least it seems so to me. Tully
  4. Kingsnake it was my turn to watch WBT. I knew he was coming and I conveniently had to work! Tom, as we discussed before your welcome to use my gear and ammo anytime you'd like. I should be there next month. Tully
  5. Personally I believe the rifle to be the biggest hurdle for shooters from other disciplines. We put less emphasis on it and the round count is lower. The cost of a rifle and the reloading set up to support it is a lot. So! How about a "Professionals" category? Men, women, young and old all combined. 1911 that meets current WB rules. 12 Gauge pump shotgun. Any pump. Have the shooter load it on the line under the TO's supervision. No rifle!! Most shooters from other sports will more than likely have this equipment. And who wouldn't want t an excuse to buy a 1911? Shooter decides whether to load 5 or 7 and announces that decision at the line. All rifle targets are shot with the 1911! Tully
  6. HJ, I can't seem to recall??? Glad to hear the enlarger is being used again. Tully
  7. HJ, It's my belief you've probably been involved in your share of Revolutions and this one could be your undoing! Happy Jack vs. the Liberal state of California, not good! If your so inclined to travel to California and shoot WB with us at Gold Country Wild Bunch. It would be my pleasure to provide the guns and ammo. Bring your leather and your good to go. Actually I can provide the leather as well if needed. The above offer is good for any traveling WB shooter, provided it's a shoot I can make. Of course I try not to miss many. Just send me a PM. HJ how did the enlarger work out for you? Tully
  8. Hey Allie, I agree with you, that stage is a kick in the pants! It can become difficult for the TO, spotters and shooter to keep track of targets hit. Painting in between helps a lot. Sutter's stages are very challenging and well thought out. Putting WBT and Sutter together to design stages would be very interesting indeed! Tom when are you going to come shoot with us? Tully
  9. Just cleaned my gun the insides where full of pink & purple feathers! Maybe Tom should not wear his boas while working on guns? :D Tully
  10. I have no doubt that all the gunsmiths mentioned will do a great job for you and stand by their work. WBT has done my guns and guns for several friends!! I'm very pleased with his work as are my friend's. And he's a sharp dresser!! Tully
  11. Hey Boggus Deal, We have some shooters that this might really benefit, please keep us informed. Tully
  12. Sutter does very well on his stage designing. You can always count on a good match. This stage was no exception! Tully
  13. Red Eye, I shoot 5.0 grains of Unique for a PF of 165 with a 230 grn RN and have found 5.2 grains is about a 175 PF. Tully
  14. The Rev you have me studying my hands. The web of my left looks normal the right web is raised with a calloused top. I think this is the sign of addition for a traditional shooter!! I find like Lanky Frame stated, that my hand got accustom to the beating of 1911 hammer. My right hand does not bleed like it use to!! Email Wild Bodie Tom, I am sure he can fix your hammer for you!!! Good Luck, Tully
