  1. Thanks Garrison much appreciated. We hadn't seen Alliant Red Dot for many many years down here, then all of a sudden nearly every gun shop in Oz had these big 4kg canisters of it, of course after such a long powder drought it flew off the shelves.
  2. My apologies, how remiss was I not listing the powders that I do have on hand 😞 Red Dot - Brand new huge 4kg containers of fresh powder just imported Vitivhouri N320 - also a lot of it Vectan AO Trailboss - Newly made 2 x 1.5kg jugs Lovex DO32 - a lot of this as well ADI APS 350 which I think is 'Clays' its the new ADI powder that is replacing ADI AS30n I know that seems like a lot, but I load for eight (8) of my family and we all shoot a LOT and I didn't want to ever get down to that bare a cupboard again! I'm glad ADI is working overtime and getting powder out to Aussie reloaders again (and shipping O'seas as well) and when I see it I will buy it, but I'd like to work my way through those European powders that I have a lot of. WST has been a GREAT powder in our Ruger SR1911's unfortunately Winchester Australia hasn't yet brought back any Winchester powders and don't seem keen to .....yet.
  3. There's a lot of fast powders available in Australia again, unfortunately my WB .45acp powder WST is not one of them What brand/powder is close to WST?
  4. Look what a good friend surprised me with yesterday at our monthly WB match in the carpark whilst Jenorado and I were unpacking our cart. A hand made, lined with tanned kangaroo skin, customised with a tooled bear, 1911 holster for my SR Ruger which up unto yesterday I had been making do using my single action holster. Thank you Rusty for handcrafting this for me, you bowled me over with this kind and generous gift yesterday 🥰
  5. As far as I know they still do (called the Self-loading pistol 9mm Mark 3) I hated it as it always bit me on the web of the hand enough to bleed badly.
  6. I'm currently using my single action holster.
  7. Cheap 1911 Holsters suitable for WB What's folks thoughts on these? https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1594606213/1911-holster-5-inch-or-425-inch?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=1911&ref=sr_gallery-1-8&frs=1&sca=1&sts=1&organic_search_click=1 Or this - https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/613792089/western-leather-wild-bunch-style-holster?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=1911&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&cns=1&sts=1&organic_search_click=1
  8. Thanks GJ, appreciated very much mate I have printed that out.
  9. I have Brian Enos 'Slide Glide' greases in light, medium and heavy plus lots of different gun oils. What places on a 1911 to use grease vs oil? Any lubing hints would be appreciated. First 1911 I've owned.
  10. Appreciated GJ 👍
  11. Shot WB/SA last Sunday and the day was very o'cast and we were under half cover. A mate of mine was using WST 4.0gr under 230gr pill. I didn't watch every shot he fired, but quite a few times when I was watching him I saw some sparks flying out maybe 2' feet, just enough to notice that here were a couple of sparks. Was that just because it was o'cast? I don't remember seeing sparks before (except for some very underloaded 12g rounds).
  12. Made our day reading that. Please give Ellie a hello and best wishes from us both.
  13. Hope all is well mate with Ellie, been sending kind thoughts your ways.
  14. Just wanted to update - Thanks a bunch all......went to the range today and came home super happy with zero loading, feeding, ejection issues! Cheers fella's and a Safe, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to you all.
  15. Thanks Eyesa and GJ. Appreciate all the advice.
