That's the way other shooting sports do it.

Maintains a cold range until the RO gives the above command at the first shooting position.

Are we ready for this? Not sure but as Happy Jack pointed out in the thinking process for the, hopefully, not to distant future.

Anyone using Unique for their WB loads.

The loads I've been finding in the load manuals is way hotter than needed.

As in  PF of 199 for  45 ACP using 230's

and the lowest load 45 Colt 250 gr. bullet out of a 7 1/2 vaquero was PF of 235.

I know there are better powder choices so lets not go there.

I'm trying to help out one of my shooters who is new to reloading and bought an old red round can of Unique at a gun show when another shooter said to him "you really need to buy that"

Lostvaquero, I believe the WB rules committee would say no at this time.

I know at least three if not all four members of the rules committee support the current scoring method.

If we are going to stay with the stage point scoring, as much as it pains me to say so, I think we need to consider doing away with the so called "overall" winners. This is were the "anomalies" appear to come in. Two cases in point, 1. a third place finisher in category wins overall for that gender. 2. the second place finisher in another category finished 3 positions ahead of the category winner in the overall.

It is confusing the hell out of a lot of people how this can happen.

It's like we are using two different scoring methods, one in category and another for overall.

Personally wished the were a couple of 30 round pistol stages.

But that's just me I guess. Not that good at it but like shooting the 1911. It's what really separates WB from Cowboy.

I too prefer the 230 gr. pill. After all it's the bullet the gun was designed around.

Don't have a Clay Dot recipe but 3.5 of Clays with the 230 gr works nicely for me.

Never have to worry about power factor weather at sea level and 60 degrees or

7000 ft. and 95 degrees.

So F & I WB is Friday, WR WB starts Monday, what'ta do Saturday and Sunday?

You shoot Cowboy Fire and Ice. If you start with WB F&I, then Cowboy F&I, WR WB, WR warm up, and WR you get to shoot for 9 DAYS STRAIGHT. YEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAA.

I use KimPro  magazines without the optional base pads. They are perfectly legal.

We won't probably see them until after awards on Sun. I will tell you that it was a great match at real Wild Bunch targets and distances. You had to use that bump on the end of the barrel on all guns. Everything was hitable. I didn't do it but had a ball trying.
