  1. Not any different really than having a rifle that is over loaded with 11 rounds and placing it back on the shooter table with the action open and a round in the carrier. Its actually safer if the 1911 slide closes rather than the rifle's action because the 1911 has a grip safety. I don't see anything wrong there. 8)
  2. Very usual to see posse photos with people holding a rifle or pistol for a pose. They're always empty. I wouldn't call that wrong, I'd call that style.
  3. "WildBunch scoring has not changed at this time" - Texas Jack Morales
  4. No need to drop power factor or add another PF category.
  5. I guess some people just aren't tough enough to shoot WildBunch. . . Oh well. . .
  6. http://www.cherrybalmz.com/_p/prd1/2096216235/product/black-rifle-balm unless you are close to central Oregon ever you can order it here! I recommend the fingernail polish bottle, works very well with slide groves.
  7. Cherry Balmz black rifle grease is what i use on all my firearms. I've never experienced any product make a gun perform quite as long as this. My ar15 and sig mpx both haven't been cleaned since applied and have hundreds of rounds through each(mpx close to 900rds). My Wildbunch 1911 had not been cleaned after 14+ (25-30rds stage) stages without slowing down or hiccuping, i cleaned it before heading to EOT just to be cautious, not because it gave me a reason to do so. Just what i use and like since this post was about gun oil and longevity.
  8. Your mags do that too, brother???? I'm just wondering when we will get our Nike sponsorship and they'll come out with some high performance running cowboy boots. . . Stages will be printed in the book and the books are handed out when you register at EOT. You can always ask Amber or Misty for an extra if you get there real early, or come find me. No need to practice stages until you arrive at the stage IMO. Everyone's different. Mental game is what I'd prepare for, dropping the heart rate, relaxing, that sort of thing. And that's what music, good friends and whiskey is for each night of EOT!
  9. ***UPDATE*** "Official round count for EOT will be 295 P 87 R 51 SG" - Texas Jack Morales Final book sent to Misty. Regarding mags, I carry 6 on my belt and 1 in the gun(obviously) 35rounds. I always carry 1 extra mag than what the stage calls for because I run fast and my mags sometimes like to fly out of my warn out mag holders. . . Better safe than sorry.
  10. Don't get too confused. We don't shoot 3 guns on EVERY stage.
  11. 55+ sg 90+ R 300 +p it's something very close to that. I don't have the book, just notes, and it contained total round counts. I'll know Exact when the final book is confirmed this week. I'm sure most of ya who've shot at EOT know what WB usually contains per stage.
  12. Main match will be right around 450.
  13. I have used 45colt RNFP bullets since the sport started without flaw in my 73.
  14. Get a model 12. A good model 12 will be faster and smoother than a 97.
  15. Make sure you are practicing the right way and stick to fundamentals. Once that is achieved work at making it faster yet smooth. A fast mag change with a fumble in between is slower than a steady mag change that's smooth. Blows my mind how many shooters I see with bad grips and odd mag grabs.
  16. Enfield is a good option you can get for cheap. .303 Brit ammo easy to get. (250-expensive) stripper clips load easy. Accuracy is proven. Fastest bolt action design.
