Hello the Wire, What are some of the distances shot with the 1911 at EOT? Never been there before.

Pistol target distances at EOT 2018 were 7 to about 8 yards.  We had over 110 knockdown targets for the Wild Bunch Championship at EOT.

local clubs around here have pistol shots at both the pistol targets and the rifle targets.  So you will usually have one or two of the magazines per stage to shoot about 10-15 yards or so.

There were a couple of stages at 2018 EOT with pistol targets set as far as 25 yards.  Yep, folks (including me) missed several of those buggers.

 

None in the main match are ever far enough that you have to start worrying about trajectory and sight adjustment on the fly.   

 

Now, the long range pistol side match, when held, is typically a target at 50 yards.  You may want to practice that a little bit  ;)
