CC Moonshine
Howdy all, Just wondering! What 1911 do you use in Wild Bunch? How many 1911's do you own? If you carry a 1911 for CCW what one and why? When did you first shoot a 1911? I just thought it would be fun to know. As for me, I currently use a Colt series 80 1911 for WB, I also have a very old Remington Rand that sometime I will use it for a match or two. I currently have 11 x 1911 ( 9mm, 45 acp, and 10 mm) and really enjoy them. I carry my newest one almost every day. It is a Springfield TRP carry fastback. I first fired my friends dad's 1911 on a camping/ hunting trip when I was about 15 years old. Loved them ever since. Thanks for reading and thanks in advance if you reply, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. CC Moonshine
marshal stone
Mine are; 1. Springfield Mil-Spec or a Colt Series 70 2. I think around 8. would have to check the safe to be sure. Have .22, 9mm, and 45 acp. 3. My EDC is a Ruger SR 1911 in commander length, Great gun and easy to conceal. 4. first fired on in the mid 80's. Only had my Grandfathers 45acp. Didn't really get into 1911's until Wild Bunch. Happy Thanksgiving Marshal Stone
Happy Jack
Before the stroke which left me with a bad right hand and arm (and I haven't got rid of any guns) I might be able to shoot again it's only been 3 years in March. 1. Usually a Kimber super match. but occasionally one of my many Colts. 2. Somewhere between 15 -20. When I was dealing in them I usually had 150 + at all times. 3. Kimber Ultra CDP in 45acp (an old one I bought when they were first introduced) fired thousands of rounds NEVER failed. 4. Started shooting one in the late 50's. Carried one for work in the 60s. Didn't compete with one until the late 60's.
Whitey James
My WB 1911’s are a Springfield Garrison and a Colt Series 70 i currently own 3 including my Ruger 10mm Night Watchman. I had owned a Springfield Mil-Spec, Ruger commander, and a Remington R1 that I sold or traded (regret letting the Ruger get away) I don’t carry a 1911 except sometimes in the winter i first fell in love with them when I was a kid going to the gun shops with my dad. There was always a glass case full of Colts and always wanted one but they were too expensive for my budget for many years. Finally, kids grown and moved I was able to get my first one (the Ruger when it first came out) the only pistol that comes close for me are the CZ 75’s for ergonomics and accuracy.

Frederick Jackson Turner
A Remington R1 that Bodie 601 turned into something special; Les Baer Premiere II out of the box; Springfield flat front 1911 with MMC sights, with an Ed Brown barrel, link and bushing fitted to it; Colt Series 70 with better sights and a 15 lb spring kit. Sig 365 for EDC. Are you guys nuts? 😮 Cheers, FJT 1

Boggus Deal
19 hours ago, Deacon KC said: Okay, am I the only one who keeps a Wolff 1911 spring pack on hand for when I buy a used 1911? Depending on application, I have springs from Wolff, ISMI, Springco, Wilson Combat, Colt, EGW, Thunder Mountain and others.
Happy Jack
Like Boggus, I have used springs from many suppliers, but recently have gone with a lot of Springco. We are lucky to have Boggus to take care of a lot of problems with Wild Bunch guns. With the loss of Bodie and Goatneck in recent years he is one of the few who specializes in Wild Bunch guns. He is VERY good with them. 4
Doc Holloman
Springfield Garrison is my Primary. Backup is a Springfield Loaded modifies to be close to a Marime M45. I've also shot a Tisas Raider on occasion. I have 11 1911s total including one in 9mm and one .22. Am currently considering picking up one in .38 Super.
