I know buying more equipment for me put it off.  I also know the caliber question has been hashed over.  Local club allows most anything as long as SASS legal round.  Shooting the Thompson (semi) made it good for me while I get the scratch for 40+ lever.  Yes could use the 38.

 

7+5 is fine but not sure drag more people in.  Personally I think loosening up to other firearms might help but that is just me.  Love to see lugers and broomhandles and 1917 revolvers.  And yes other than a Sansei broomhandle and 1917 they are sub 45s. 

 

I agree we need to support each other. 

 

I did like the idea of a sub forum on the main SASS wire.  Might get a few more folks talking and interested.

Sounds interesting.  Just a wondering, a level action in 45acp do you have to use flat nose bullets?

I always heard that round nose in a lever action rifle was a no-no.

I know not highly regarded but regular SASS allows them. 

Just a wondering on these guys.  EAA is making a polymer framed 1911.  5" barrel, single stack, weight is 32 oz.  45acp.  For modern I think it would be legal but maybe I missed something.

I shoot lightnings in regular CAS.  You load with the action open, but you can close it without chambering a round.  Coming to the line with the action open I agree with Happy Jack, should have been a SDQ

I could see the 1887 being allowed.  As for not in the movie, well.........those were not 45acp pistols, a luger was in there which isn't allowed, so saying if it wasn't in the movie....as mentioned I get WB is a sort of blend. 

I was looking at a local club and I saw M which was modern, T for traditional but some O which indicated on the score Open class.  Is this a sort of unofficial category?
