Legendary Lawman
SASS has published the 2022 Wild Bunch Manuals. They have been combined into a Shooter’s Handbook, with everything covering the shooter and a Range Operations and Match Director’s Guide for all things to do with the match and the stages. It is our hope that this will make it easier for shooters to find what they are looking for. Suggestions are always welcome. They can be seen and downloaded from the RULES section. On this site there is also a link to a synopsis of the 2022 changes for everyone’s reference. Legendary Lawman WBAS ROC Chair
Abe E.S. Corpus
It took me a minute to find the synopsis. I forget that there is more to this website than the forum. My three ring binder has all of the updated documents. Ready to enjoy our new 5th Saturday WBAS matches in Belton, SC!
Dead Head
While looking through the 2022 Handbook page 25, I noticed that in the Stage Conventions #9 it says, "9. If no starting position is given, the shooter shall stand fully erect with pistol holstered, hands at the side not touching any firearm." The SYNOPSIS OF 2022 WILD BUNCH RULE CHANGES and CLARIFICATIONS As of January 9, 2022 says: 4. Shooter starting position. If no starting position is given by the match rules or stage description, the shooter may start in any position as long as hands are not touching guns or ammunition, including magazines. Which is it? Tully Mars
The synopsis is correct. While preparing to teach a recent WB RO course I double checked many items with the powers that be, this was one of those items. Tully
Dead Head
I would hope the Handbook gets corrected as most people would see it as the dominant document of the two.

Legendary Lawman
In the process of amalgamating the three Wild Bunch rule books, into two more manageable ones, the changes and corrections for 2022 were missed. SASS is working on rectifying that situation. Notification will be made when the amended documents are available.
