Grouchy Spike Posted November 27, 2018 Posted November 27, 2018 I'd not known of the background about Peckinpah and the movie Wild Bunch. For others who also didn't know of the background and enjoyed the movie, here is a link to 'the rest of the story': https://www.warhistoryonline.com/instant-articles/fighting-mexican-revolution.html "Real violent death is seldom pretty or bloodless, and Peckinpah’s insistence on realism means that The Wild Bunch portrays this as accurately as 1960s special effects allow." Baltimoreed11754 Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Good article Grouchy. One of my absolute favorite movies. My cas club does WB shoots several times a year and even though it’s not required I always quote lines from the movie when the RO asks ‘shooter ready?’ ‘Give’em hell, Pike’ is my favorite.
