Remington Model 10?

i “get” that WB references the classic movie and 97 and 1912 shotguns were used in the film.

however is there a reason the old remington is excluded, or is it’s model number not indicative of the year 1910?

I remember when SASS outlawed the Marlin shotgun cause they considered it dangerous (even with light loads).

I even got to help someone out when their 98 bolt let loose and struck them in the face.

No real safety issues with the Remington Model 10. It is capable of slam firing just like the 97 and Model 12.

Action is complicated and therefore not very reliable. I doubt that one would stand up to the rigors of Wild Bunch

I wish they'd just modify the rules to allow any wood stock pump shotgun in Wild Bunch, at least in the modern category.  I'm not sure we are gaining anything by requiring a particular model.  I view it as different than CAS because the 97 is pretty unique in appearance.  It'd be so much easier for people to start shooting if they didn't need a particular shotgun.  Allowing side by sides a few years ago was a step in the right direction, but we ought to take it further.
