Looking to try some Wild Bunch this year, but need to change my staked front sight. Brownells is out of stock for the tool. Does anyone have one they want to sell?

Thanks,

The most successful taller front sight installations on 1911s are made by milling the slide for a dovetail slot, and installing a front sight with dovetail base.  Staking in a tall front sight is a VERY hard job to get solid enough that the sight will stay put.    Been there, learned that the hard way.   good luck, though, finding a staking tool.   GJ

Thanks for the heads up @Garrison Joe...but also dang. It's never as easy as one would hope I guess.

If you’re still wanting one. I think I have n extra. And since I’m not staking another one, it will be for sale. Dovetailed is the only way to go.

Thanks, but I’ll pass. Found a local gunsmith who had the tool already. But thanks all the same.
