Doc12379 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Is this holster designed so the 1911 is easy to grab the grip. I want the grip to be away from the body not tilting in toward the body. Thanks, Doc Quote
marshal stone Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Which 1911 holster are you referring to. They make several different ones. Marshal Stone Quote
TriggerHappy Posted June 10 Posted June 10 In my opinion, and I have one of Mernickel's Wild Bunch holster & Cowboy holsters, you won't find a better made & fitting holsters or rigs than what Cliff & company makes. Codo's to Cliff & company for making quality leather products for todays' WB & CAS shooters. TriggerHappy Ted Quote

How About: Call Mernickle Holsters and tell them exactly what you wrote above. They will be honest with you about how any of their holsters will hold the gun. Cliff is one to ride the river with! good luck, GJ 3 Quote

I just ordered a new rig because of that same issue. Current setup is a quality rig but the holster sits pretty tight against the body. Makes it tougher to quickly get a good hold on the gun. Nothing against Mernickle, seen and handled there rigs. They seem to be a well built quality rig. I ordered mine from Persimmon Dan who runs Murphy Leather. He will build to whatever specifications you want. Quality is as good or better than most out there and the price is more than fair. If you’re still looking might be worth checking out Murphy Leather. LF. Quote
Boggus Deal Posted Sunday at 01:36 AM Posted Sunday at 01:36 AM Kirkpatrick Leather builds some really good Wild Bunch holsters and mag pouches. Quote
marshal stone Posted Sunday at 09:27 PM Posted Sunday at 09:27 PM One of the things to consider when having a holster made is Page 19 Holsters, second line says, "Holsters must be of traditional or military design made from canvas or leather" I added the emphases. Mernickle holsters meets that standard. Others may or may not. Marshal Stone Quote
