Gloves in WB

The rules say no modern shooting gloves, but are any gloves allowed? I'm wondering more about hammer bite with traditional hammer spurs. Would taking a bit of the tip of the spur off or perhaps a slight reshaping be allowed? The rules as I skimmed them seemed to not allow that........
