Blackjack Mark
Hi: I've been thinking about trying WB since I don't need a new rifle now and had a shotgun question. Does anyone know, if under the new rules, a Mossberg 590 retro is a legal shotgun to use? Seems like it is a replica from that period? If not, is the Rock Island TPAS T1897 legal? (looks like the front sight might disqualify it). If both are legal, has anyone had any good or bad experiences with these guns? PS: Can you use a stainless 1911? Thanks, Blackjack Mark
Abe E.S. Corpus
Neither shotgun is legal. The only pump shotguns allowed are the Winchester 1897 (original or replica) and the Winchester Model 12. Despite the name, the Rock Island shotgun is a reproduction of the Ithaca Model 37. Stainless 1911s are legal for both Modern or Traditional.
Boggus Deal
Also, now that the rules have been bastardized, doubles, 1887s and single shots are legal.
