Magazine Pad Attachment Method

I am going to put leather pads on the base of some magazines as allowed in the rules.

I couldn't find anything in the rules about attachment methods.

Two questions:

1) Can I use screws or must I use glue?

2) What glue do people recommend?

I used contact cement.  I think the brand name was Barge.

We use E6000 glue

I use Pliobond 25 contact cement

I used Gorilla glue.

I used a two-part loctite epoxy that has worked well so far. Screws are allowed as long as the total thickness from the baseplate to the screw heads does not exceed the 1/4" limit.
