  1. The Winchester 25 was introduced in 1949, Where would the line be drawn? The start of the Korean Conflict perhaps? That way Remington 870's would ok, they were introduced in 1950. All sarcasm aside, SASS shooter both WB and CAS spend a lot of time, effort and money to have gear that meets the games criteria. The Model 12 was shown being used in the movie WBAS is based on.
  2. You could try reaching out to LT Rusty Colt (aka Todd Griffiths). He is the proprietor of Blue Iron Leatherworks. He made my wild bunch rig and did a great job. His email address is blueironleatherworks@gmail.com, He is also on FB and Instagram. LT shoot CAS and WB at the Big Salty Range in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  3. When competing in Teddy Roosevelt can the shooter choose for the pistol be either modern or tradition?
  4. There is a local (Layton Utah) one man shop called Precision Cast Bullets that makes Hi-Tek coated cast lead bullets, I picked up a small quantity of bullets to test from him. The .45 and .38 I've reloaded for CAS with bullets I bought from him have worked fine. The ones I'm going to try are .308, 0.989 length and 175 gr I use Tite Group to load all of my CAS. I also have Varget as an option.
  5. I am considering competing in the Teddy Roosevelt category in the NW regional/WB Territorial match next month. Does anyone reload for 30-30 Win?
  6. I have shot a couple of WB matches in the modern category, had a blast. I am considering the purchase of a Springfield Armory Mil-Spec 1911. Springfield's website describes the sights as "Fixed Combat 3-dot". Would this be in category for traditional?
