  1. I figured as much but had to ask, dang it!!!
  2. I am currently shooting a USGI 1911A1 in the Modern Category. I've looked over the rules and wanted to get some input here, would a "Fitz'd" modified trigger guard be allowed? In other words, can the trigger guard be removed from the frame and the pistol still be legal for Wild Bunch? I can't see any competitive advantage that could come from such a modification nor could I see a safety issue given that all the guns are carried without a round in the chamber. so it being holstered without a trigger guard doesn't pose an issue. Given all other handling requirements are followed I couldn't see any other issues either. From my my viewpoint the modification would be strictly cosmetic, maybe not appealing to everyone but it has some appeal to me anyway. Thoughts?
  3. I've got a Model 12 in great condition but I've continued to experience issues with it. I think it's me more than the gun...I've tore it down, cleaned everything and didn't see an issue with anything. It looked brand new inside. It runs fine when operating it slow and deliberate but when running it fast during a shoot, more often than not I encounter feeding issues where the live rounds don't make it into the chamber. Very frustrating because it's a well built gun. When it bobbled at the last local WB shoot I borrowed a Win 97 and shot the rest of the match with zero issue! I've got a 97 but haven't put it into service yet for CAS or WB. It just seems to be smoother for me than the Model 12. Anyone else experience the same thing?
  4. Man I wish I was attending EOT, I'd jump on the chance to take the course!
  5. I'm still still kicking around the idea of short stroking my '73 at this point. Thanks for the info!
  6. Good morning, I just shot my first club level Wild Bunch shoot yesterday; it was a hoot! I am definitely hooked!! The topic of short stroke kits came up a couple times yesterday. There were differences of opinion on this; one saying it's not permitted where others said you can short stroke your lever gun. I checked the rules last night and from what I can see short stroking is permitted provided the lever travel meets the minimum distance requirement. My question about this is how does one know if they short stroke their 73 carbine it will meet the requirement before it's installed? I'm looking at putting one of the Pioneer Gun Works kits in my 73 and I am curious if anyone here has done the same and knows whether the standard short stroke kit and the super short stroke kit meet the rule requirements?
