  1. My problem is that we often run 2 posse on the same large range, so to go downrange, i have to stop the other posse too.
  2. What are you using for short range (say, 20-30 yards) BAMM targets? My club's range equipment guy isn't too sure about letting me use the club steel targets and i am not keen on going downrange to patch cardboard targets after each shooter. Ideally, i want something that can swing enough to spot a hit. Putting the targets further away is not an option on this particular range. Thanks for your input! Four Fingers Fred
  3. Ok, i think i will order the part and try it. Let's hope they ship to Canada! Thanks guys, as always, your help is appreicated! Fred
  4. I double-checked, it is installed correctly and move freely in the slot. I also made sure that the slot was clean. When i cycle the action, i can see the cutoff moving up and down, but it's not always moving enough to prevent a double-feed...
  5. Hi folks, Hi folks, I just got a model 12 and i have a problem: the cartridge cutoff doesn't always stop shells from getting out of the tube when the slide is pulled back, causing a jam. I did a thorough cleaning. It looks like the cutoff isn't going down enough to block the shells, although it could pivot further. Any input? Is there a way to fix that or do i need to change the part?
  6. Hi folks, What were the pros and cons of a model 12 over a 1897? I've ran with a 1897 for the last few years but I was wondering if there was a big advantage shooting a model 12 instead? Thanks for your input!
  7. That's the problem: summers here can be 30 celsius and winter can be -30 celsius... (between -22F to 86F) I have all the winter to reload, but I can't really know how my reloads perform until spring... :-)
  8. Thanks for your input my friends, i will do some load testing!
  9. Good evening folks, i am looking for a light winchester 231 match load. I've been using 4.0gr of Titegroup behind 230 grains RN bullets for the last few years with relative success, but everybody keeps telling me that I should use something slower and less snappy than titegroup... (ok, i am running out of titegroup) Anyone use w 231 behind 230 grains LRN ? Thanks! Four Fingers Fred, from the Ottawa Valley Marauders
  10. Yes, i guess 22 is a possibility for pistol and rifle, but what about the shotgun?
  11. Hello folks, i was just wondering if any club runs a Buckaroo/Buckarette category at local Wild Bunch matchs? If so, what kind of "accomodations" do you allow for the young ones?
  12. Well, i asked about a side match for the Upper & Lower Canada championship, but it was too late to add a side event. Maybe next year? I know a few Lee-Enfield lovers who would participate for sure!
  13. Anyone is shooting a MN 91/30 for BAMM side matches?
