Lead Hollow Points for pistol?

Got a pard interested in shooting WB. Has a box of 230g hollow points, lead.

Wants to know if they can be used for 1911 WB Pistols

I don't know, any ideas?

As long as they are unjacketed, yes they are legal.

 

If they have a copper jacket, not legal

Hollow point bullets are specifically prohibited.  WB SHB v. 17.5 page 32.

Same prohibition in the CAS SHB.

Personally I’ve never thought a hollow point bullet to present a greater risk but “them’s the rules”.

Why would you want to waist the hollow point anyway  ?
