Deacon KC
Before I waste effort, I just want to make sure I'm okay on this. A wide spur [target type] hammer, as on the original 1911 [pre A1] changes is legal for traditional 1911s. right? Garrison Joe
Yes, the wide spur is fine. I have run one before. Traditional guns just cannot use a (modern) round hammer "spur". You may go 10 years before you ever have to cock a hammer with a thumb on a 1911 in Wild Bunch. We start with them down, let the initial slide operation (and following post-shot slide operations) cock the hammer, and drop the hammer with a trigger pull when checking empty gun. So, for me, a wide hammer spur buys nothing. GJ
Deacon KC
I figgered as much, thanks. I just like the looks of the wide hammer. 🤠
