Jack Spade
I haven't seen anything on here recently about this. Can any of you experienced guys share how to properly adjust or tune your 1911 magazines to feed right? Any videos you can share that show how to do it? Taterhead
I'd like to find out too! Every time I've tried I've made them worse. Tater
Garrison Joe
I use Tripps and I have never had the need to tweak a lip. They are formed of a little thicker steel, I believe. good luck, GJ
Grouchy Spike
If a feed lip is bent I trade in the magazine at Ed Browns. My experience with Tripps is the same as Garrison Joes. Brownells has a gauge to check the symmetry of the feed lips. A search "1911 magazine adjust feed lips" turned up several links with advice. J. Frank Norfleet
Goatneck Clem could adjust the lips, but he is no longer. As stated above, buy quality mags. JFN
Elwood James
Brownells sells a yoke and anvil kit to adjust 1911 magazine lips. Works pretty well. https://feeds.brownells.com/userdocs/learn/Inst-430 Mag.pdf
