Cottonmouth Mark
Currently in Jeffersonville IN. First question, how many 1911 mags are normally desired?
Garrison Joe
Stages with 35 rounds of pistol are VERY common. Stages with 42 rounds are also encountered. That latter stage would require 6 magazines IF you never fumble a magazine change. Or have a need for "just one more round" due to popping a round loose while inserting a mag. Magazines can get stepped on, filled with dirt, etc. during a match. All that means I never go to a Wild Bunch match with less than 10 magazines I trust. And enough mag slides (holders) to carry 6 magazines on my belt. good luck, GJ 1

Our local matches have required 3 or 4 magazines per stage. I keep a magazine loaded with a single round handy in case I have a malfunction that results in a live round being thrown out. Cottonmouth Mark
OK, seems like 10 is a number to acquire at first. < next question. Is there a source for leather bump pads? I found an industrial sized portion of 16 oz leather (1/4 inch), that is 99.99% more than what I need.

My SASS rig is from them. Next question: I know 1911 smiths are a dime a dozen. Any recommendations for a Traditional class 1911?

Happy Jack
1911 "smiths" are a dime a dozen ???? There are a lot of gunsmiths, but VERY few 1911 pistol smiths. Bogus deal is one.
