Thanks all. It is a bit on the "difficult" side. I am will be looking of a good short stroke 45LC rifle.

FYI I shoot a Marlin in 38 for regular matches. I got the 94 from a club member who needed to sell it.

What is the rule WRT safeties on rifles?  I have a 94 AE in 45LC with the (annoying) crossbolt safety. Is it legal to use or will I be drummed out of the WB realm?!

I have a Colt 1911 (actually a 1991). I got it used. It is rather stiff, especially the slide release. This is my first 1911.  Are there any good guides on how to do "do it yourself" tuning on this pistol?

1.  I have a 1991 Colt. Is there any restriction on using it for WB? I want to shoot traditional. It is stock except for wooden grips.

 

2. I have a Win 94 (45LC). I'd like to get a short stroke kit for this rifle. What are the better brands?

Is there good factory ammo for WR pistol shooting. I don't (as of yet reload) and would get a good stock of factory loads to begin with.

What is the conventional wisdom concerning Rossi and Uberti rifles for WB? I shoot a Marlin in 38 for regular SASS but have little knowledge of Rossies and Uberties for WB.  All inputs are welcome.

I am new to WB, but not to SASS/Cowboy Action. I need some advice on 1911s.  I'd like to go in the direction of a 1911 vice a 1911A1.  What are the preferred models/makes? Any preferred dealers/outfits?
