  1. I have been shooting desperado bullets for many years, they are the only bullets I have found that will fly straight and true from my circa 1995 over bored rossi 92.  .434-5 groove diameter vs .429 spec.  Hard Cast bullets don't group less than 5 inches at 25 and many keyhole.  At 50 yards much higher incidence of keyhole.  The desperado bullets fly true shoot about 5 inches at 100 with round holes.  I do not get leading in the rifle.
  2. I have had pretty good luck with 'New' GI mags or even old GI mags if the feed lips were not sprung or worn out.

Thats why I was wondering if the mags really were 'GI'

I agree that most cheap import crap is just that.

Will probably wait for another gun show in town a pick up some more in sealed wrappers with the NSN.  Only need a couple more so even kimbers retail wont break the bank, just want to stay GI if possible.

  3. I am not sure I want go with the ones that are cheaper than the dirt we stand on as they have mixed reviews and do not engage the slide stop on some pistols.

Has anyone used the sportsmans guide mil-spec magazines?  Are they really GI or even a truly mil-spec import.

I got parkerized M-14 mags made in taiwan back in the assault weapon ban days that functioned flawlessly in many a high power match.
